This year, we are once again committed to Europe and music as a driving force for learning and coexistence. Our band has secured funding for a new short-term project within the Erasmus+ programme, which, as you know, is the European Union’s initiative to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. We are continuing with the KA122-ADU initiative, which allows us to engage in mobility programmes to continue learning, both musically and pedagogically and socially.
With this new project, musicians and conductors will have the opportunity to enjoy new international learning experiences, expanding their musical, methodological and social skills and strengthening the European dimension of our band.
Project Objectives
- Offer mobility and training to band members, especially those with fewer opportunities.
- Reinforce European values through music as a tool for identity and cooperation.
- Establish partnerships with European experts and organisations to improve professional development.
- Update musical knowledge and deepen social and linguistic skills.
Main activities
As last year, we will have the opportunity to take part in various activities.
- Guest expert: once again, we will organise a training course with theoretical and practical sessions, rehearsals and a final concert to incorporate new methodologies and enrich our musical approach.
- Group mobility: we hope to broaden our knowledge of the music and cultural traditions of Italy and Germany, strengthen our language skills, establish new professional and personal relationships, and improve our musical abilities.
- As a new feature this year, we will have the opportunity to take courses abroad. Two of our teachers will be able to benefit from these courses and learn new methodologies in conducting, performance, music technology and leadership. Upon their return, they will share everything they have learned with the band through practical sessions to enrich our collective project.
Erasmus+ allows us to grow as musicians and as a community, consolidate our band, and continue to use music as a tool for unity and learning. With each new mobility programme, we broaden our horizons, establish international ties, and reinforce the values of cultural openness, cooperation, and mutual learning that characterise Erasmus+.
